The results of the Midterm Election in the metro Twin Cities area may well indicate the growing importance of grassroots activism in pursuing specific political objectives. From Primary Voting and School Choice to Parent Empowerment and Local Government Budget Transparency, citizen activism will increasingly be the force that propels conservative issues.
Our annual “Fall Conversation” will take place this year a week after Election Day, on Tuesday, November 15. It will probe the issues that our communities face and the challenges and opportunities for mobilizing local grassroots activism to address those issues.
We are pleased to announce that Kendall Qualls, president of Take Charge, will be our moderator.
The discussion should prove informative and stimulating. We are fortunate to have three prominent individuals with current experience with Minnesota politics, issue advocacy, and legal challenges by citizen groups MN Senator Mark Koran, former MN House Rep. Tim Miller (who is now the Executive Director of Pro-Life Action Ministries), and Atty Gregory Joseph, Joseph Law Office PLLC and the Upper Midwest Law Center.
Our “Fall Conversation” fundraiser includes a social hour, with substantial appetizers and a cash bar, starting at 6:30 pm at the Edina Country Club.
